A similar thought struck me as I read it while doing a bit of research into Daoism and came across this section in Zhuangzi: Inner Books, “The Adjustment of Controversies” (齊物論), chapter 8. This quotation seems to be the longest way to write “I don’t know, but I’m the teacher so I’m not dare going to say it” that I’ve ever read.
That is hilarious. Especially that bit at the end. Its a lttle reminiscent of Douglas Adams.
