  1. Positive evidence against, as compared to negative evidence for?

    Now consider this corollary: What would you think of an adult – or a group of adults – who was very serious that Santa Claus was a real person performing miracles aided by flying reindeer and who insisted that your morality was in question if you didn’t similarly believe it to be a factual claim, that it was only right and proper that such belief (or perhaps a similar one in leprechauns and chocolate laying rabbits) was a prerequisite for public service or exactly the kind of voice needed to be included in consideration in medical ethics?

    Blows your mind, doesn’t it?

    • Ha! Nothing like a rhetorical question with a faulty comparison. You already know the answer — you can’t find one person who actually believes what you described.
